With the noble objective of instilling Tamil culture and the essence of moral literature in students—the pillars of the future—Ananda Chaitanya Foundation, in association with Zen Matriculation School, sulur organized a poetry memorization competition for students as part of the inspiring initiative titled “Vaasikkalam Vaanga” The event was conducted successfully on March 25, 2026.
Leadership and Welcome Address
The event began with a welcome speech by Dr. M. Sasikala, Principal and Secretary of Zen Matriculation School. In her address, she emphasized that only when academic knowledge is combined with good character can a student develop into a complete individual. She formally inaugurated the event and appreciated the efforts of Ananda Chaitanya Foundation in driving meaningful social change.
The Value of Memorizing Poetry – Special Address by Mr. Thillai Senthil Prabhu
The special guest, Mr. Thillai Senthil Prabhu, Founder of Ananda Chaitanya Foundation, delivered an insightful speech on the importance of memorizing classical Tamil verses among students. Key highlights of his address include:

More than 25 students participated enthusiastically in the competition. They recited verses from Moothurai and Thirumanthiram flawlessly, with proper intonation and expression, showcasing their unique talents. Their exceptional memory and pronunciation left the audience amazed.

Over 10 students who performed exceptionally well were selected as winners and were awarded prizes by Mr. Thillai Senthil Prabhu on behalf of the Ananda Chaitanya Foundation.
Following this, Dr. M. Sasikala honored Mr. Thillai Senthil Prabhu with a memento in recognition of his contributions as an educator who bridges knowledge and moral values. The founder of the Ananda Chaitanya Foundation donated the foundation’s newly published book, “Vellum Sol- Tamil Tharum Vetri Thiravukol,” to the school library.

தமிழ்ப் பண்பாட்டையும், அற இலக்கியங்களின் சாரத்தையும் வருங்காலத் தூண்களான மாணவர்களிடம் கொண்டு சேர்க்கும் உன்னத நோக்கில், ஆனந்த சைதன்யா அறக்கட்டளை மற்றும் ஜென் மெட்ரிகுலேஷன் பள்ளி இணைந்து நடத்திய “வாசிக்கலாம் வாங்க” எனும் உன்னத நிகழ்வின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, மாணவர்களுக்கான செய்யுள் மனனப் போட்டி மார்ச் 25, 2026 அன்று மிகச்சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது.
தலைமையும் வரவேற்பும்
நிகழ்வின் தொடக்கமாக, ஜென் மெட்ரிகுலேஷன் பள்ளியின் முதல்வரும் செயலாளருமான முனைவர் எம். சசிகலா அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை ஆற்றினார். அவர் ஆற்றிய உரையில், கல்வியறிவுடன் நற்பண்புகளும் இணைந்தால் மட்டுமே ஒரு மாணவர் முழுமையான ஆளுமையாக உருவெடுக்க முடியும் என்பதை வலியுறுத்தி, விழாவினை முறைப்படி தொடங்கி வைத்தார். சமூக மாற்றத்திற்காகப் பாடுபடும் ஆனந்த சைதன்யா அறக்கட்டளையின் இத்தகைய முயற்சிகளை அவர் வெகுவாகப் பாராட்டினார்.
செய்யுள் மனனத்தின் மாண்பு: ஆசிரியர் தில்லை செந்தில் பிரபு அவர்களின் விரிவான உரை
நிகழ்வின் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகப் பங்கேற்ற ஆனந்த சைதன்யா அறக்கட்டளையின் நிறுவனர் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர் திரு. தில்லை செந்தில் பிரபு அவர்கள், மாணவர்களிடையே செய்யுள் மனனப் பயிற்சியின் அவசியம் குறித்து ஆழமான கருத்துக்களைப் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார். அவரது உரையின் சுருக்கம்:
- அறத்தின் அடித்தளம்: “இளம் வயதில் நாம் கற்கும் செய்யுள்கள், வெறும் மனப்பாடப் பகுதிகள் அல்ல; அவை வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் நம்மை வழிநடத்தும் நல்முத்துக்கள். ஔவையாரின் மூதுரை மற்றும் திருமூலரின் திருமந்திரம் போன்ற அற நூல்களை மனனம் செய்வது, ஒரு மாணவனின் சிந்தனைத் திறனைச் சீர்படுத்தும்.”
- மனவலிமையும் ஒழுக்கமும்: “செய்யுள்களை மனனம் செய்வதன் மூலம் நினைவாற்றல் பெருகுவதோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல், தற்கால மற்றும் எதிர்கால வாழ்க்கைக்குத் தேவையான மனவலிமையையும், சவால்களை எதிர்கொள்ளும் துணிவையும் மாணவர்கள் பெறுகிறார்கள்.”
- தமிழ் மொழிப்பற்று: “சங்க இலக்கியங்கள் மற்றும் நீதி நூல்களைப் பயில்வதன் மூலம், மாணவர்கள் தெளிவான உச்சரிப்பையும், தமிழ் மொழியின் மீதான ஆழ்ந்த ஈடுபாட்டையும் வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள முடியும். இதுவே ஒரு சிறந்த குடிமகனை உருவாக்குவதற்கான முதல் படி.”

இப்போட்டியில் 25-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் மிகுந்த ஆர்வத்துடன் பங்கேற்றனர். மேடையில் ஏறி, மூதுரை மற்றும் திருமந்திரப் பாடல்களைப் பிழையின்றி, ஏற்ற இறக்கங்களுடன் பாடித் தங்கள் தனித்திறமைகளை வெளிப்படுத்தினர். அவர்களின் அபாரமான நினைவாற்றல் மற்றும் தமிழ் உச்சரிப்பு அங்கிருந்தோரை வியப்பில் ஆழ்த்தியது.
விருதுகளும் கௌரவமும்
சிறப்பாகச் செயலாற்றிய மாணவர்களில் 10-க்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் வெற்றியாளர்களாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு ஆனந்த சைதன்யா அறக்கட்டளையின் சார்பில் ஆசிரியர் திரு. தில்லை செந்தில் பிரபு அவர்கள் பரிசுகளை வழங்கிச் சிறப்பித்தார்.
அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து, கல்வியையும் அறத்தையும் இணைக்கும் பாலமாக விளங்கும் ஆசிரியர் தில்லை செந்தில் பிரபு அவர்களுக்கு, பள்ளியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் எம். சசிகலா அவர்கள் நினைவுப் பரிசு வழங்கிச் சிறப்பித்தார்.

- யோகா மற்றும் தியானம்: மாணவர்களின் மன ஒருமைப்பாடு மற்றும் உடல் ஆரோக்கியத்தை மேம்படுத்துதல்.
