Ulakuvithal – Dhyana Program, A Three-Day Intensive Meditation Retreat

Ulakuvithal – Dhyāna is a three-day intensive meditation retreat conducted by Ananda Chaitanya Foundation in the serene natural surroundings of Vellimalai.
More than 30 participants took part in the program and experienced deep states of meditation, inner stillness, clarity and heightened awareness.

Rooted in Yoga Darśana, the retreat integrates classical yogic wisdom, modern psychology, and practical tools relevant to contemporary life. The program is designed to help participants move beyond conceptual understanding and make yoga and meditation a lived experience, supporting complete physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Program Approach

The retreat follows an experiential learning model, emphasizing direct inner experience rather than theory alone. The practices included:

✅ Stillness Meditation for deep inner silence and awareness

✅ Yogāsanas to prepare the body and stabilize the mind

✅ Prāṇāyāma practices to activate and harmonize the Pancha Prāṇas

✅ Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation and nervous system reset

✅ Chaitanya Meditation for heightened awareness, energy alignment, and sustained focus

✅ Key principles of Sāṁkhya and Yoga philosophy were introduced in a clear and practical manner to support understanding and daily application.
