CIET College in Narasipuram, Coimbatore successfully hosted a national level symposium titled “Technoveganza”. Students from various disciplines across colleges in Coimbatore participated in the event.
The symposium was inaugurated by the chief guest, Mr. Thillai Senthil Prabhu, Vice President of Mak Controls and Founder of the Ananda Chaitanya Foundation. Dr K.A. Chinnaraju presided over the event, along with Dr. Nagaraj, the Principal of the college, and other faculty members.
In his inaugural address, Shri. Thillai Senthil Prabhu spoke about the vast technological opportunities available to students today. He also addressed a crucial challenge faced by modern-day youngsters – distractions. Mr. Prabhu emphasized the importance of inner stability for students to achieve their goals and excel in the face of distractions.
“In this age of constant digital stimulation,” Mr. Prabhu said, “it’s more important than ever to develop tools to manage distractions and cultivate inner focus. Ancient practices like yoga and meditation can be powerful allies in this pursuit. By training the mind and body to be present in the moment, students can develop the focus and clarity needed to thrive in a technology-driven world.”
This symposium provided a platform for students from various disciplines to explore the intersection of technology and their fields of study. It is expected to inspire and equip them to leverage technological advancements in their chosen paths.
