📚 “Vasikkalam Vaanga” Book Reading Contest Ignites Passion for Reading Among Polytechnic Students

In a commendable effort to foster the habit of reading among young minds, the “Vasikkalam Vaanga” book reading competition is currently underway at the Government Polytechnic College, Kaniyalampatti. The event is being organized in collaboration with the Ananda Chaitanya Foundation (ACF), known for its ongoing initiatives in youth development and education.

This unique initiative has witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. The event is being actively coordinated by Lecturer Mr. Selvakumar, who is also a dedicated volunteer of ACF. He is joined by several fellow lecturers and supported wholeheartedly by the Principal of the institution, creating a vibrant academic atmosphere.

The competition aims not only to spark a genuine interest in books but also to enhance students’ comprehension, articulation, and critical thinking abilities—skills vital for academic and personal growth.

Attractive prizes have been announced to recognize student excellence:

🥇 First Prize – ₹5000

🥈 Second Prize – ₹3000

🥉 Third Prize – ₹2000

In addition, special prizes and certificates will be awarded to all deserving participants, ensuring encouragement for every sincere effort.

The final round and prize distribution are scheduled for August 26, 2025, promising to be a day of celebration, recognition and inspiration.
