June 28–29, 2025 | Ananda Chaitanya Foundation, Coimbatore
As part of the ongoing celebrations of the International Day of Yoga (IDY), the Ananda Chaitanya Foundation (ACF) — an associate center of the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) — successfully conducted a two-day intensive Yoga and Meditation program on June 28 and 29, 2025. This session marked the fourth event in a special IDY series curated by ACF, comprising:
- Two full-day practical workshops
- One three-day advanced residential retreat
- One online Satsang on meditation and yogic lifestyle

The recent two-day session saw the enthusiastic participation of 31 seekers from diverse locations including Chennai, Bangalore, and across Tamil Nadu, all gathered with a common intent — to learn, reflect, and transform through the time-tested tools of Yoga.

Program Highlights
The workshop was thoughtfully designed to integrate the ancient yogic practices with modern lifestyle needs. The sessions included:
Yogasanas – Classical postures taught not just for flexibility or strength, but as a tool for building body awareness, stability, and energy regulation.
Pranayama – Conscious breathwork practices to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, improve lung capacity, reduce anxiety, and balance mental-emotional states.
Yoga Nidra – A guided deep relaxation method to release accumulated stress, reprogram the subconscious, and promote restful sleep.
Chaitanya Meditation – A unique meditative method rooted in Patanjali’s Raja Yoga tradition, focusing on awareness, stillness, and awakening inner intelligence (Chaitanya).
Life Tools for Inner Excellence – Daily life applications based on yogic principles such as:
✅ Unprejudiced awareness
✅ 100% involvement in the present task
✅ Single-pointed attention
✅ Practicing silence and mindful observation
✅ Cultivating intention with clarity (Sankalpa)
These tools are designed to help participants integrate the spirit of Yoga beyond the mat — in relationships, work, health, and inner clarity.
Intended Benefits of the Program
The program aimed to bring forth benefits that have been consistently reported by numerous participants across past events:
Enhanced Focus and Mental Clarity
Techniques in asana and meditation are intended to improve one’s ability to stay present and make better decisions.
Stress Relief and Emotional Balance
Breathwork and deep relaxation practices are known to dissolve mental fatigue and bring a sense of calm.
A Pathway to Inner Stability
Chaitanya Meditation opens a subtle yet powerful space of stillness that supports clarity, peace, and centeredness.
Practical Tools for Life Challenges
The session provided accessible yogic strategies to face daily life situations with steadiness and inner strength.
A Movement for Inner Transformation
Thillai Senthil Prabu, founder of Ananda Chaitanya Foundation and a senior yoga teacher, emphasized during the closing session:
“Yoga is not a ritual to escape life but a process to engage life more consciously. The silence we touch in meditation becomes the strength with which we face the world.”
The program concluded with a group Satsang and reflection session, with many expressing a deep sense of inner renewal and a commitment to continue their practice.
